2.5 Comparison of Adverbs

Adverbs can be compared in the same way that adjectives are.
The adverb itself is the positive form, the comparative form has an -ere ending, and the superlative form has an -est  or –st ending.

Erik snakker høyt.
(Erik speaks loudly)
Pål snakker høyere enn Erik.
(Pål speaks louder than Erik.)
Bjørn snakker høyest.
(Bjørn speaks the loudest.)
