Basic Rules for Indefinite Adjectives

  1.  In Norwegian indefinite adjectives must agree in number and gender with the nouns or pronouns they describe.
 Masculine  Feminine  Neuter  Plural
 en stor familie  ei stor jente  et stort barn  mange store gutter
  1.  Indefinite adjectives can occur as attributives (joined directly to the noun) or in the predicate of the sentence, linked by a verb. The form is the same in both positions.

Attributive: Jeg har en stor familie.
Predicative: Familien er stor. Den er stor.
Huset er fint.  Det er fint.
