1.19 Comparison: Negative Comparisons
It is possible to use the adverb “mindre” to indicate less, rather than more of a quality, in comparison:
Øivind er intelligent, men Daniel er mindre intelligent enn ham.
Øivind is intelligent, but Daniel is less intelligent than he.
However, it is more common to use “ikke så _ som”:
Øivind er intelligent, men Daniel er ikke så intelligent som ham.
Øivind is intelligent, but Daniel is not as intelligent as he.
