9.24 Placement of Adverb after Subjunction
As we have learned before, a subjunction introduces a dependent clause, or leddsetning. In a leddsetning the subject and verb are still in normal word order, but the adverbial is placed before the verb.
Example:
Anne sier at hun ikke kommer i morgen. (Anne says that she is not coming tomorrow.)
Jeg trenger en bok som ikke er altfor lang. (I need a book that is not too long.)
Vi kommer i morgen hvis vi ikke har noe annet å gjøre. (We’ll come tomorrow if we don’t have anything else to do.)
